GLOBAL GAMING: SUBSIDIARY SAFEENT GETS WITH LICENSES
STOCKHOLM (Nyhetsbyrån Direkt) Global Gaming's wholly owned subsidiary Safeent, which, among other things, runs the internet casino Ninja Casino, gets rid of its Swedish licenses for commercial online games and betting.
This is stated in a press release from the Gaming Inspectorate.
"The reason is that Spelinspektionen has discovered serious deficiencies in the company's operations, including applicable gaming responsibility and measures against money laundering. The decision applies immediately," the press release said.
The review further shows that Safeent has violated several of the most central parts of the game law, which aims to protect players against excessive gambling, writes the Gaming Inspector.
According to the Gaming Inspectorate, Safeent's actions against money laundering and terrorist financing have shown serious and systematic shortcomings. The company has also offered bonuses on more than one occasion, some offers have also been lotteries that are not covered by the company's license.
Safeent has explained what measures it intends to take to correct the deficiencies, but the Gaming Inspectorate considers that the measures are not sufficient and notes that Safeent lacks understanding of important parts of the regulations that govern the business.
According to the report for the first quarter, Ninja Casino accounted for 93 percent of Global Gaming's revenue of SEK 162 million. Most of Global Gaming's revenue is reported to come from the Swedish market.
